Me Wearing Cupcake and Candyfloss From Sleek Blush By 3 Sweet Cheeks Palette Candy Collection Belle-amie

Hello everyone! So today I'm going to be reviewing a product that I have been really loving recently and that is the Sleek Blush By 3 in Sweet Cheeks. This is a new blusher palette from Sleek's Candy collection and contains 3 gorgeous candy pink shades. This is the first Blush By 3 I've ever tried from Sleek despite wanting to try them for ages (the Lace blush palette has always been on my wish list!) and I was so excited to try it out when I first picked it up. As I'm becoming a huge fan of blushers and have been buying them like crazy, I thought the Sweet Cheeks palette would fit perfectly into my collection!

To start with, the packaging of this Blush By 3 palette is so cute - I even keep the palette in the box because it's that pretty! The packaging of the actual palette is black, very sleek and perfect for travelling with. As you have all 3 shades in one palette, it's very compact and you have a lovely range of blusher shades in one place. The palette also comes with a large mirror in the lid, so makes it perfect to use on the go!
Like I said the Sweet Cheeks palette contains 3 blusher shades which are (left to right):

Cupcake - a hot pink cream blush
Dolly Mix - a matte cool dusty pink powder blush
Candyfloss - a shimmery bright pink powder blush

I love that with this palette you are getting 3 different formula of blusher, especially as I have been really liking cream blushers for Summer. The pigmentation of each of the blushers is amazing, you literally only need to tap your brush against the product to pick up enough colour. The first time I applied Cupcake, I tapped my Real Techniques Stippling brush in it about 2 times and even that put way too much product on my cheeks - it looked like I had a sun burn! So the trick with these blushers is to build up the colour gradually as they are so pigmented. The only blush you can get away with putting more on is Dolly Mix as it is a much lighter shade than Cupcake and Candyfloss so needs the most building up to achieve a bold colour. As well as being extremely pigmented, all of the blushers are soft, smooth and blend out really well with either my Real Techniques Stippling brush or Blush brush. In the photo above, I am wearing a light layer of Cupcake and then a layer of Candyfloss over the top. Together they give a really nice pink flush to the cheeks and the fact Candyfloss is a powder formula, it helps set Cupcake in place. Also as Candyfloss is a slightly shimmery blush, I found that I didn't have to wear a highlighter on my cheek bones as it already gave me a glowy finish.

In terms of how long they last, I find these blushers will last me most of the day and only need a bit of touching up towards the end of the day. I also find that none of these blushers go patchy or cakey looking even if it is warmer out. This means Sweet Cheeks is the perfect blusher palette for Summer as it contains 3 beautiful pink shades that work so well for the warmer weather, plus they actually stay on your skin throughout the day!

Overall, I absolutely love Sleek's Blush By 3 in Sweet Cheeks and I'm very tempted to try more of their blusher palettes. I can see this palette lasting me such a long time as the shades are so pigmented, so it's definitely worth the £9.99 price tag (that makes it just £3.33 a blush and all being amazing quality)! I definitely recommend you picking this palette up if you see it, especially as it's limited edition too!

Have you tried Sleek's "Sweet Cheeks"? What are your thoughts on the Blush By 3 palettes?

Hello everyone! So yesterday I had an interview at my college to see whether I can do the next level of my Beauty Therapy course. Thankfully I got in which I'm really pleased about and I can't wait to start learning all the spa treatments in September! I wasn't too sure what to wear to this interview as I knew it wouldn't be as formal as a job interview, but I still wanted to make a good first impression.  So I opted for a smart/ casual look with a dressier top half and a simple pair of skinny jeans - I wanted to be comfortable but at the same time well presented.

For my top, I went with my new Topshop Grey Scallop Lace Vest which I think is very pretty and flattering. I love how the underneath cover up finishes just above the waist line on my jeans, but the lace material is a little longer so covers the top of my jeans up! The back of the top is completely lace and pretty sheer, so I knew I had to pair it with a jacket that would keep me looking smart. I decided to wear my navy blazer from Primark which is light weight and still nice to wear in the warmer weather. I think Primark's blazers are amazing, they have a huge range of colours and you can often find them in the sale for around £11! My jeans are a simple pair of light blue jeans from New Look that I bought ages ago, but I'm sure they still sell a similar looking pair. I love wearing lighter coloured jeans in the warmer months, especially on the cooler days, as they can still look Summery when paired with a pretty top. The shoes I wore are my Miss Selfridge Eloise Nude flats which I bought last summer (they were actually featured in my very first haul!). I love the pink detailing on the strap and they're the kind of shoes that go with any outfit.

For accessories, my bag is from New Look and is a gorgeous light tan tote bag with a short handle (it also comes with a long handle you can attach). I picked this bag up the other day and I absolutely love it! For my necklace, I wanted something simple yet at the same time added some nice detail around the neck, so I went for my Dolly Bow Bow Vintage Bow necklace. I love how the metal looks old and tarnished, definitely very vintage looking! Finally I also wore a simple pair of nude rose stud earrings just to complete the look. I really like this outfit as it's the kind of one that can work for almost any ocassion as it is half smart, half casual.

What are your thoughts on my smart/ casual outfit?

Review | My Latest Topshop Lips Lipsticks

Topshop Lips Lipsticks | £8 - £9 each

Hello lovelies, I hope you all had a great weekend! Today I thought I would do another Topshop lipstick review. I have already reviewed Infrared and Confession (read the post HERE) but I thought I would make another post about the latest additions to my collection! As you may know, I'm a huge fan of Topshop's makeup and I feature their lipsticks quite often on my blog. I'm always looking to expand my collection so if there are any shades you think I should try, please let me know in the comments!

Ditsy | £8 | LINK
First up is my latest Topshop lipstick called Ditsy which is a hot coral shade that is beautiful for Spring and Summer. I absolutely love wearing corals during the warmer months and this is the perfect colour for me! It has a slight pink undertone to it which makes it very easy to wear, especially if you're wary of brighter orange shades. The formula of this lipstick is amazing as it's creamy and smooth to apply. Plus the pigmentation is also great and it gives you an opaque finish in just a few swipes. I also find this lasts a long time on the lips and only budges when you eat or drink! I haven't seen this shade being talked about much on blogs which is a shame as I think it's my favourite Topshop lipstick shade! Definitely worth trying if you like colours like this.

Crystal | £9 | LINK
The next lipstick is actually one of Topshop's lip tints in Crystal. This lipstick reacts to the PH of your lips to create a unique shade of pink that suits your skin tone. To be honest, the reason why I picked up this lipstick was because how beautiful it looks in the tube! It's a slightly transparent pink that has loads of glitter in; it actually looks like one of those pretend lipsticks you'd buy when you were younger! When you apply this lipstick, the colour doesn't show too much straight away as you need to let it develop. Once it's developed you're left with a very pretty pink shade with a fair amount of glitter. The formula of this lipstick isn't as creamy as the standard lipsticks, in fact it's quite hard, yet it is still very easy and smooth to apply. Also the glitter isn't at all rough on the lips and actually feels very soft just like a balm. As Crystal is a lip tint, it does last very well on the lips and will stain them for a few hours, but doesn't dry out your lips throughout the day.

Ohh La La | £8 | LINK
My final Topshop lipstick is Ohh La La which is a coral blush shade. This is probably my least favourite Topshop lipstick however I do still think it's pretty, just quite difficult to wear. As it's quite a light coral shade, it can look a bit odd against my skin tone but I do still wear it, just paired with a lip gloss that adds a bit more colour. I find the formula just as nice as the other Topshop lipsticks however when applied, it can be a bit patchy and uneven. This is why I think it's essential to wear a lip gloss with it to even it back out. Again like Ditsy, this lipstick does last a long time on the lips which is something I love about the Topshop lipsticks! If the shade was a little brighter and was even to apply, this would be a lovely lipstick for this time of year!

So these are the latest Topshop lipsticks I have added to my collection. I think they're all such lovely shades and I already have my eye on picking up some more like Macaroon! Like I said, if there are any shades you think I should try, do let me know!

Have you tried Topshop's lipsticks? Which is your favourite shade?

Hello everyone, I hope you're all having a lovely week. Yesterday was one of the sunniest days we've had this year, so I took full advantage of this and thought I would do an outfit of the day post! I've wanted to add more fashion posts on my blog recently so all this sunny weather was perfect! I also had my hair cut in the morning and for once I actually like how it turned out despite the fact it's a lot shorter! I'm planning to ombre it again before I go on holiday as a lot of the lighter colour at the ends have been chopped off and I really do miss it. It's a pretty boring cut, but what do you guys think?

Anyway, as yesterday was really hot (and I've been totally slacking on fake tan) I went for a maxi skirt and vest top combination. This coral maxi skirt is from Primark and is probably one of the nicest pieces I've bought from there! I love this style of maxi skirt where it's sheer material but has the mini skirt underneath to cover you up. As the elastic at the waist is black, I paired it with a simple black vest top which is again from Primark. For my shoes I wore my favourite pair of sandals from New Look which I found in the sale a couple years ago. I think these sandal are gorgeous and perfect for wearing in the Summer! They literally go with any outfit and add a nice bit of glam to a simple look. My bag I carried was my everyday bag which is from Dickins & Jones and to me, could easily pass as a Cath Kidston bag. The print is so pretty and there's loads of space to carry all my "essentials" around! Finally for my jewellery I wore my long rabbit and gem necklace from Miss Selfridge and my new "Love Always" bracelet from Dorothy Perkins. I love dainty jewellery and thought both of these pieces went well with the outfit.

So this is my outfit of the day, I'm actually really excited and happy that I'm getting back into doing these posts again! I think doing them in the Summer is so much easier as I tend to wear more "exciting" clothes at this time of year. If you would like to see more outfit of the day posts then please let me know!

What do you think of my outfit?

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! Today I have another haul for you, but for once it's actually a clothes haul! I never seem to do clothes hauls as my camera isn't the best at taking photos of them so I usually never bother trying to post one. But recently I've been picking up quite some new clothes for my holiday and I really wanted to share them with you. As you can see, I've bought quite a few dresses which are my favourite pieces of clothing to wear in the Summer. I'm sorry that you can't see the clothes in full, I'm trying out new angles so I can photograph them well and this was the best I could do! I'm planning to start doing lots of Outfits Of The Day posts once the sun comes out, so you'll be able to see them fully then!

Apricot Pansy & Dots Dress | £27 reduced to £15 | LINK
Apricot isn't usually a brand I buy clothes from, but when I was looking through New Look I spotted this dress in the sale. I instantly fell in love with the floral and polka dot print against the navy material. I thought it would be perfect for the Summer as it can either be dressed up with a blazer and heels or dressed down with a denim jacket and flats, so it's a very versatile piece. The only problem with this dress is that it is quite big fitting, so if you want to buy it I would suggest getting a size down from what you normally get.

New Look Cream Chiffon Belted Dress | £19.99 | LINK
A while ago now I bought a navy blazer from Primark but I didn't really have many pieces it would go with. I picked up this gorgeous cream chiffon dress from New Look and thought they would go together perfectly! This dress fits really well (the belt really brings the dress together) and it finishes half way down my thigh. I can't wait to wear this dress and I think it'll be great for wearing out in the evenings.

New Look Black Sleeveless Skater Dress | £9.99 | LINK
The other day I realised I didn't own a simple black dress so I went on the hunt for one in New Look. After looking at their disappointing selection of black dresses I decided to look in the "basics" section and try out my luck. To my surprise I found this simple black skater dress for just under £10 and the last in my size. It fits like a dream and is perfect for any occasion, I know I'm going to get a lot of wear out of this dress!

Primark Coral Flower Cut Out Dress | £10 |
The new dress selection in Primark is amazing at the moment! I've fallen in love with the simple dresses that have a cut out flower design around the stomach area and I literally want every design they have! The first one I have is in this beautiful coral shade that just screams Summer time! It has quite a high neckline and finishes half way down my thigh. Even though it has a cut out around the stomach, it hardly shows any skin which is great as it will suit anyone.

Primark Black Flower Cut Out Dress | £10 |
The next cut out dress I have is the black floral print one. This dress fits me really well and I love the cute floral design. I've already worn this dress on a night out and it's very comfortable and flattering! I also like how it has almost every colour in the floral print, so this dress will go with pretty much any accessory, pair of shoes or hand bag you have! It's a perfect piece to have in your wardrobe.

Primark Navy Polka Dot Playsuit | £5 |
Next up are some more clothing items I have fallen in love with from Primark. These little playsuits are so cute and cost a mere £5! I first one I have is this navy polka dot one. It has crossed straps at the back which are secured by buttons at the front. The back of the playsuit is quite low so it will have to be paired with a bandeau underneath. A very simple piece that again I will get a lot of wear out of!

Primark Black Print Playsuit | £5 |
The final piece is my last playsuit from Primark and this one is in a black and cream print. It has the same crossed straps and again will have to be worn with a bandeau underneath. I really love the print of this playsuit and think it will look great in the evening with some wedges. Both of these playsuits are quite short but are very comfortable to wear. They have a stretchy wait line and are made of a very soft material. I will definitely be picking up more of these playsuits if I find any more designs I like!

So this is my collective clothes haul! I will definitely be posting more clothes hauls in the future now that I have found a way to take some decent pictures that I don't mind putting on my blog haha. Please do let me know if you'd like to see some Outfit Of The Day posts on my blog and tell me which piece you'd like to see first!

What clothes have you bought from Primark recently?

I am wearing THIS dress, I promise haha!
Hello everyone, long time no talk! Well, I haven't posted in a few days but it feels like forever! I wanted to start quickly with something completely off topic of today's post. In a few weeks time I will be going on holiday for a week, so I thought it would be a great time to let some of you guest post on my blog. I'm looking for a few beauty or fashion bloggers to write any post they like (as long as it is beauty/ fashion related) so that my blog doesn't look so bare whilst I'm away - plus it's a great way for people to find new blogs to read! If you have some free time on your hands and would like to be a guest poster, please feel free to email me (belle-amiebeauty@hotmail.com) to discuss all the details! Anyway, on to today's post..

So as we come into the Summer months, I like to change up my makeup routine a little bit. On hot days or when my skin is behaving a little better, I like to do a minimal makeup look so that my skin can breathe and I'm not uncomfortable wearing a full face of makeup. I like to call this is my "no makeup" makeup routine as the end result is very natural and glowy looking; as if I wasn't wearing makeup!

Benefit The Porefessional | LINK
Whether I'm doing a full face of makeup or my minimal look, I always prime my face first. I've recently been reaching for my Benefit The Porefessional and I'm absolutely loving it! When I first tried this I didn't really see what the big deal was, but after trying it a couple weeks ago I noticed how smooth my skin looked after applying my makeup. I apply this with my fingers and concentrate it on my forehead, nose and chin as this is where I need it most and then blend it out on the rest of my face. It leaves my skin feeling soft and ready for the next step!

Dr Jart+ Water Fuse Beauty Balm | LINK
Before trying this BB cream, I was completely against the whole idea of them! I hated the one by Garnier and really didn't get along with the Maybelline one, I found that they were far too orange for my skin. However, the Dr Jart Water Fuse Beauty Balm has completely changed my opinion on BB creams as this is the nicest one I've tried! It looks like a normal foundation shade and it matches my skin colour so well. Plus, the satin finish is lovely, definitely a lot nicer then the greasy, oily finish I get from other BB creams. I apply this with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush and I find a little goes a very long way! It feels light on the skin but gives a lovely coverage and with SPF 25, this is a Summer staple!

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in 1 Fair | LINK
I'm pretty sure everyone has heard about this concealer and I for one love it! I feel like I never need to find a new concealer again as this has every thing I need covered (excuse the pun). I have the Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade 1 Fair and find this perfect for applying under my eyes to cover any darkness and discolouration. I also apply it around my nose and chin to even out any redness. As I do this makeup routine when my skin is pretty much clear, I don't need apply this to any blemishes, so this helps keep my makeup lighter and more natural looking. I simply apply this with my fingers and then blend out with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush.

Bourjois Cream Blush in 02 Healthy Glow | LINK
Cream blushers are perfect for the warmer months as they're much lighter on the skin and look very natural. I've been loving my Bourjois Cream Blush in Healthy Glow as it does pretty much what it says, gives my cheeks a healthy glow! I'm really in to my orange blushers at the moment and I find the formula and pigmentation of this blusher is perfect. I apply this to the apples of my cheeks with my Real Techniques Stippling brush and then blend it out towards my temples. This way it gives a really natural and glowy finish.

Stila Angel Light Powder Foundation in Shade B
During the hotter months, I know that some people hate to wear powder on their face as it can get patchy and uncomfortable in the heat. However, I find it essential to wear at least a small amount of powder to help decrease the shine on my face. The Stila Angel Light Powder Foundation offers light coverage and a SPF of 26 so is perfect for the Summer months when you really need to protect your skin! I apply this with my Body Shop Face & Body brush and I concentrate it on my nose and chin.

Urban Decay Naked Basics* [Review] | LINK
I featured this little palette in my last monthly favourites post and I talked about how much I've been loving doing a simple eye look with a bolder lip. The Urban Decay Naked Basics palette is perfect at creating a simple, natural eye look that doesn't look or feel heavy in the warmer months. I apply Walk Of Shame all over my lid with my Urban Decay Flat Shader brush. I then work a bit of Naked 2 and Faint into my crease and outer corner with my Prestige Shadow brush. For the inner corner and brow highlight I use Venus with my Real Techniques Detailer brush which is perfect for applying small amounts of eye shadow. Finally I use a tiny bit of Crave on the tip of my flat shader brush to create a shadow liner, just to make my lashes look fuller.

Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara in Superjet Black [Review] | LINK
Next up I use my favourite mascara which is Soap & Glory's Thick & Fast Mascara. I find that with just one coat, your lashes look much longer and have a nice amount of volume to them. I like this finish with this makeup look as it doesn't make your eye makeup look heavy and your lashes still look natural. I find this mascara doesn't smudge or wear off on warmer days and I think this is a perfect makeup product for all year round!

Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie [Review] | LINK
Finally, I find Revlon's Lip Butters are the perfect lip products for minimal makeup looks as they're so moisturising and give your lips a hint colour. The shade I reach the most for is Berry Smoothie which is a natural berry pink that would suit any skin tone. For me, it's a "your lips but better" shade which is why it works so well in this makeup routine!

So these are the products I like to use to achieve a "no makeup" look that is perfect for Summer or days when I don't feel like wearing a load of makeup. I hope you enjoyed this post and please do remember that if you'd like to be guest poster, simply send me a email!

What products do you use for a minimal makeup look?

1 Year Of Blogging

Photo from weheartit.com and edited by me
Hello everyone, I hope you're all well and having a lovely week. I have a very exciting post for you all as today is my blog's first birthday! I seriously cannot believe it was this time last year that I sat down and decided to make my own little corner of the Internet and start blogging. I'm so proud of how much my blog has grown and that I am a part of this amazing online community!

I decided to make my blog Belle-amie on the 11th June after coming home from one of my exams. I'd been thinking about making a blog or starting YouTube for such a long time, but the prospect of sitting in my room talking to a camera and then putting it on the Internet seemed pretty daunting. So I decided to set up an account on Blogger and just see how things went. I instantly fell in love with blogging and it quickly became a hobby that I carried out in my spare time. Now, I spend a lot of time working on my blog and new posts as I really enjoy sharing my interests with you guys! I do also have a YouTube channel where I have a couple of videos, but to be honest I don't think it's for me. I much prefer blogging as I love being creative with taking and editing photos and simply sitting down with a cup of tea and writing up a blog post.

Blogging has definitely changed me as a person, and I'm not the same girl I was a year ago. I was very shy and had no idea what I wanted to do in the future. Writing on Belle-amie has made me so much more confident and actually made me believe in myself a lot more. I never imagined that within just a year of blogging I could reach the amount of followers I have and it just amazes me that all of you enjoy what I do! It's given me a sense of achievement and shows that if I put my mind to something, I can do well. I also now know that in the future I want to go into a career in the beauty industry and hopefully have a business of my own - definitely not something I would have dreamt of a year ago!

Basically this post is just a very long way of saying thank you to each and every one of you that have joined me in my first year of blogging! I seriously couldn't have done this without all of your support. Blogging has allowed me to do some amazing things such as working with companies and talking to so many other bloggers around the world - I'm even going to my very first meet up next month! It's such a brilliant hobby and I would urge anyone thinking of starting their own blog to go for it; writing my blog has been one of the best decisions I've made!

One final thing - Google Reader will be disappearing in July, so here are some ways you can stay in touch with Belle-amie:

Nails Of The Day Essie Nail Polish Bikini So Teeny Swatch On The Nails Review Belle-amie

Hello lovelies, I hope you've all had a great weekend! The other day I ordered a new Essie polish called "Bikini So Teeny" from Fragrance Direct. Now, I'm pretty sure most of you have heard about this beautiful blue/ purple shade and I for one have been lusting after it for ages! So when I spotted this little beauty on the Fragrance Direct website for just £1.99 I immediately made an order and was so excited to finally try it out! It arrived yesterday and I couldn't wait to put it on my nails, so I thought I would do a Nails Of The Day post for you all!

"Bikini So Teeny" is a gorgeous blue/ purple shade that is described as a cornflower blue on the website. It also has tiny bits of silver shimmer which I hope you can see in the photos above. This shade is so pretty for Spring and Summer and I love how it looks on the nails! I like how subtle the shimmer is and it adds a little something to the polish to keep it from looking flat on the nails. The formula is nice, applies well and has an opaque finish in 2 coats, but I added an extra third in the picture above to make sure it was completely even. I'm already in love with this nail polish and I'm so glad I finally have it in my collection!

You can still order Essie's "Bikini So Teeny" from the Fragrance Direct website HERE, so if you're on the hunt for it like I was, then be sure to snap one up as soon as possible!

Have you tried Essie's Bikini So Teeny? If not, what is your favourite Essie polish shade?

Hello everyone! I hope you're all well and having a lovely week. Today's review is about a product that I have been using religiously for a good 8 months and has become a firm favourite in my skin care routine. Silkia's Re-Gen Cream is a specially formulated product that is designed to help prevent and treat different skin conditions such as scars, stretch marks and blemishes. My skin has always been problematic and one of the main issues I faced was scarring and marks left after having a blemish on my face. The blemish itself would go within about a week or so, but the mark left afterwards could stay for months on end leaving my skin looking uneven. So after hearing about this product, I instantly knew I had to try it and see whether it would finally put a stop to my pesky skin condition!

Re-Gen Cream contains a lot of ingredients that are very beneficial to improving your skin's condition. Firstly, it contains an active ingredient called PCL Liquid which is meant to aid skin regeneration and help improve the condition of your skin. It also contains Vitamin E which is an essential and powerful anti-oxidant that can help protect and repair your skin. As well as these important ingredients, Re-Gen Cream contains: Lavender, Calendula, Chamomile and Rosemary Oils which can help soothe and soften your skin. To me, all of these claims sounded amazing and the fact it contains Chamomile meant it was going to be perfect for my sensitive skin! Also, you may be able to tell it contains similar ingredients to Bio-Oil which is amazing at helping scars, stretch marks and dry skin. However, putting an oil on my face has never appealed to me as I thought it would cause more problems than it could solve! This is why Re-Gen Cream stood out to me so much; as it's a cream formula it makes it perfectly safe to apply to your face without the risk of causing more blemishes or making your skin oilier.

I apply Re-Gen Cream twice a day after cleansing and toning my face as it is brilliant at moisturising and hydrating my skin. I take a small amount and I massage it all over my face and concentrate it on the areas where there are more scarring, blemish marks and dryness. The cream is very thick, pleasant to apply and really feels like it moisturising my skin! I then leave it for about 5 minutes to sink in - this is more important in the morning when I'm applying it before my makeup. I find that this cream leaves my skin feel soft and supple and actually creates quite a nice base to apply my makeup over. As for long term results, I can definitely say that Re-Gen Cream has helped clear up my blemish marks a lot quicker than if I were to leave them naturally. I've also found that I rarely get dry patches of skin which I was very prone to getting under my eyes and along my jaw line. Another great thing about this cream is the scent, as it contains all these natural oils it makes it smell very relaxing, soothing and perfect for using just before bed!

Overall, I absolutely love this product and I can see me using this for a very long time! It has definitely improved the overall condition of my skin and now I don't have to spend as much time covering up the uneven areas of my face. I love the fact that you can use Re-Gen Cream as your day and night moisturiser as well as a treatment for a lot of minor skin conditions you may have. I've bought Re-Gen Cream from both Asda and Home Bargains, so the only problem I've found is that it's not widely available to everyone. But if you're looking for a purse-friendly product that will help the condition of your skin, I would highly recommend you trying Silkia Re-Gen Cream!
